This is a fresh start for us, and we're very excited about the future, say Paulo and Lulú Villaseñor of Monument in regard to the unveiling of Tequila Village on Lake Woodmoor Drive. We're establishing a new identity while holding on to the parts of the business that have earned us a good reputation and faithful customer base here.

The name change was official in October, adding a personal touch. ''Villaseñor means 'man of the village', and this is our little village. That was Lulú's inspiration'' Paulo explains. The emphasis on quality (and rare) Tequilas remains a big part of the vision going forward, as does a commitment to excellence in the kitchen and with staff. ''We're focused on quality, and the great thing is that there's always room to grow.

Our reputation has been built on great food, premium tequila and outstanding service, and that won't change. We'll be keeping our most popular dishes like carne asada, fajitas and the burrito loco, while adding new ideas and items to the menu.''
